Last week, I had the opportunity to spend a few days in South Florida. Miami has always been a bucket list city for me, mainly for the food. I started off the trip with a Cubano sandwich from in Dania. I then took a trip to and had an incredible experience with the staff there, as well as some great beers. Finished the main part of Friday with a trip to which was a great experience with some solid beer!
Saturday was spent exploring more of Miami. Visited the highly regarded Sanguich in Little Havana and split two sandwiches. Experienced my first Cuban coffee, and spent the day brewery hopping, a boat tour, where some cruise ships were departing, and finished up at Miami Slice. Sunday morning I caught a train back to Orlando via Brightline for my flight home.
I barely scratched the tip of the iceberg in regards to exploring the area. I'm still going to continue my hunt for the best Cuban sandwich (Padrinos was the winner of this trip). There's so much to do inside a few minutes drive from either port (Fort Lauderdale or Miami) and can't wait to find some more hidden spots on future visits. If you're looking at a cruise from Miami or Fort Lauderdale, let me know!
Also, did I mess up on where I went for a Cubano?
