I went to TWTA (Trans World Technical Academy) that was owned by Trans World Airlines when they were still around and received my Airframe & Powerplant license in February 1999. I have obtained my inspection authorization back in February 2024. I have a love for aviation, and I enjoy working on and being around aircraft. I always wanted to restore/refurbish an aircraft, and I was given that opport
unity by a work colleague Scott Kaley who was one of our assistant chief pilots for Republic Airways who bought himself a Piper Comanche 250 to make his commute shorter and I was approached and asked if I would be interested in working on and maintaining the aircraft which I accepted. After a few months Scott wanted to do a complete refurbishment and after 4yrs of working on it on my days off from my full-time job it was completed and back flying. It will soon have a new paint job done also. I will add some pictures of the refurb process. I also had some help from a sheet metal tech Nick Kline that did some awesome metal work on it as well. Now here I am working full-time, and I decided to create an LLC to use for a part-time side job. After thinking about a name to use for my LLC I finally decided to use my grandfather's B-17 name that he called his plane during WWII flying with the Mighty 8th Airforce. Although he did not have any nose art, I designed one that I used as a tribute to him for his last family reunion. He lost his eyesight before he could see the design, but it was described to him so he could imagine what it looked like. So, my LLC name became Outta Dis World Aviation LLC
