Hello TCAA:

This Wednesday marks the passage of a month since our last meeting. To celebrate, we will have a new meeting at 6:00pm July 9 at the O22 Pavilion.

I don’t have a specific agenda, but we will talk about the Father’s Day Fly In, snakes in the hangars, anything new in the world of the Airport Advisory Commission, and anything new in the Aviation Explorers Post 777 world. Any other airport related questions or topics burning in your mind are welcome topics for discussion as well.

In the past month, we have updated the scholarship application form which I have attached for anyone who cares to take a look. I will ask for comments/suggestions/observations about it at the meeting with hopes of finalizing it and taking it to the Sonora Area Foundation for their input in the next month.

I am also floating the idea of having a parade of fly-bys by locally based aircraft to take place at next year’s fly-in should there be one. I’m interested in people’s opinions and willingness to participate in such an effort. I’m also interested in thoughts on why it would be a bad idea to pursue.

I’m looking forward to seeing as many of you as can make it Wednesday evening. It is a potluck affair. I will be bringing a trip-tip.
