Sometimes, we receive unplanned visitors, as was the case with this beautiful Pilatus PC-24 that arrived earlier this morning due to unfavorable weather conditions at its intended destination.

This light, super-versatile jet can accommodate up to nine passengers and is renowned for its ability to operate from short and unpaved runways, offering flexibility that many other jets in its class lack.

While the pilots enjoyed a cup of coffee and monitored the weather from the FBO, we refueled the aircraft with some JET-A.

Can you recognize the iconic aircraft pictured below? Many will immediately identify it as belonging to none other than Don Scott. An ardent aviation enthusiast from the local area, Don has been passionate about flying for longer than most of us have been around.

His 1947 Funk B85C stands as a testament to the “Golden Era” of our local General Aviation Community. Don’s unwavering passion and dedication have not only inspired countless individuals to delve into the world of aviation but have also been the driving force behind many who’ve pursued it as a profession, flying all across the globe.

Did you know? During World War II, our very own Coffeyville Municipal Airport served as the Coffeyville Army Airfield, playing a crucial role in training pilots from 1942 to 1945.

A couple of the aircraft stationed here were the Vultee BT-13 Valiant and the BT-15S.
