Cleveland Indonesian Culture was honored to participate in the Cleveland Cultural Garden Federation’s final World on Stage program of 2026 on September 27, in collaboration with the International Council- Worldwide Intercultural Network (ICC-WIN). The Cleveland Indonesian Culture proudly presents “A Journey Across the Archipelago” showcasing Indonesia traditional apparel from five major regions: Sumatera, Java and Bali, Kalimantan, Sulawesi and Papua. Each garment reflects the unique identity, artistry, ancestral traditions, and remarkable cultural beauty of Indonesia.

Thank you for fellow participants and audiences, we truly appreciate your time, support and enthusiasm in representing Indonesia and sharing our beautiful culture.

Hi everyone!

We’re updating the name of this page to ICGC – Indonesian Community of Greater Cleveland.

As PERMIAS Cleveland is intended to serve the Indonesian student community, we’d like to give it its own space and identity, while this group continues as a broader community space for the Indonesian diaspora in Greater Cleveland — including students, professionals, families, long-time residents, and friends of Indonesia.

ICGC is a volunteer-based community that provides a space for us to connect, share information, support one another, build unity, and celebrate our culture together.

We’re also updating our Facebook Group and Instagram to use the same name, matching our website. This will keep our name consistent across all platforms and make it easier for everyone to find us.

The Cleveland Indonesian Culture and Dance group will be performing this Sunday at the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation Centennial Peace Plaza to celebrate World on Stage: International Student Day event. Come check them out as well as other four performances and a great food truck available! From 1-3pm.

Traditional Dayak Indonesian Dance

New Group added!Traditional Dayak Indonesian DanceCleveland Indonesian Culture & Dance presents a group of Kent State University students and friends performing a traditional Dayak dance from the island of Borneo. This newly formed group began its journey following the 2026 Cleveland Asian Festival and continues to learn, grow, and share Indonesian cultural heritage with the community.
Through expressive movements, vibrant traditional costumes, rhythmic music, and meaningful gestures, the dance offers a glimpse into the rich cultural traditions of the Dayak peoples of Borneo, including Indonesia and Malaysia. The performance celebrates values of community, strength, grace, connection to nature, and respect for ancestral heritage.
