After years in the moving game, we figured—why not get a little down and dirty? Business has been picking up, but also… we’ve been a little down in the dumps lately. 😅

So we’re rolling out our newest (and possibly trashiest) idea yet: Trash-tastic!

🍽️💛 This week’s Move Good, Do Good donation goes to Dignity Diner, who serves a free, full-service meal to 80–100 guests every Tuesday in Lincoln Park.

And when we say full service, we mean real plates, real hospitality, and real dignity—not just a sad granola bar tossed across a folding table.

We move furniture for a living, but these folks are moving the community in the right direction every single week. 👏

Also, feeding 100 people every Tuesday? That’s a lot of dishes. Respect. 😅

So naturally, we decided to enter the chat with our own version: the Lemon Scooter. 🍋

Why “Lemon”? Because of the color… and because we enjoy making questionable branding decisions with confidence. 😎

🎨 Hidden talent: Henry is a legit artist—portraits, murals, airbrush, graphics… basically if it can be painted, he can make it look awesome.

🐟 Favorite post-work meal? Tuna. Straight to the point. Protein first. No nonsense.

⏰ Early start or late finish? “Doesn’t matter — I’ll get the job done.” That’s the kind of energy you want rolling up on moving day 💪

🛍️✨ The Mag Mile—aka Magnificent Mile—is Chicago’s 13-block playground of luxury, stretching from the Chicago River up to Oak Street.

High-end shopping, iconic architecture, fancy dining… and occasionally a Move-tastic! truck just trying to mind its business. 😅🚚

Whether you’re window shopping or actually buying, it’s one of the most legendary stretches in the city. Just don’t ask us to parallel park a moving truck there—we have limits.

🎡 Opened in 1916 and stretching over half a mile into Lake Michigan, Navy Pier is a 50-acre Midwest icon attracting nearly 9 million visitors a year. It’s been a shipping hub, a military training base, a university campus—and now a cultural hotspot with that famous 200-ft Ferris wheel.

And in this photo? You can witness a rare sight: a Move-tastic! truck attempting a “scenic delivery”… and being politely escorted off the pier by Chicago’s finest. 🚚🚔

Turns out we’re great at moving your stuff—but not great at turning a truck around in a tourist attraction.

💛 This week’s Move Good, Do Good donation goes to Lincoln Park Community Services , helping individuals facing homelessness and poverty through four powerful programs: Interim Housing, Drop-In Services, Street Outreach, and Graduate Community.

We move people into new spaces… they help people rebuild their lives. That’s the kind of work that really matters. 🙌

🛏️ Let’s be honest—almost everyone we move has a bed. (Shoutout to the occasional vampire client… we respect the coffin life. 🧛‍♂️)

If you want your move to go smoothly, mattress bags are a must. They keep your mattress clean, protected, and free from whatever mystery grime the outside world has to offer.

Because nothing ruins move-in day like realizing your bed went on an unexpected adventure. 😅

Moral of the story: small things matter—especially when you’re sleeping on them.
