We took our social media strategy to Chicago!🏙️ Earlier this month, our marketing team traveled to United's headquarters for the inaugural Social Skies event, where we had the opportunity to present CHA's social media strategy to United and airport teams across the country🤳

A little friendly competition for a great cause❤️ Last week, our team gathered at Wilson Air Center for the annual Co****le Championship to enjoy BBQ together and raise money for the 2026 American Heart Association Tennessee Valley Heart Walk on Saturday, Oct. 3.

Here at the airport, our hearts are broken over the loss of Dolly Parton, our Tennessee queen. She brought so much joy to our state, country and throughout the world.

In our community, her larger-than-life presence has become part of the places and things we see every day... murals, buses, libraries, butterflies, and more🦋 We know her music, kindness and unmistakable Tennessee spirit will live on for generations. Thank you for everything, Dolly.

Final stop on our journey throughout CHA history: the early 2020s✨ In 2020, we built our first parking garage. A few years later, we expanded the terminal with a new concourse, including two additional gates, a larger TSA area, a business center, an additional restaurant, a gift shop and more.

Things have already changed since these photos were taken, too! We've welcomed additional renovations and additions in 2025 and 2026, with more still to come.

From the 1930s all the way to today, it's been a wonderful journey with our community🫶 Thanks for following along as we traveled through the decades for National Aviation Week✈️

As part of our celebration, welcome to the 1990s! During this decade, most of the existing terminal came down to make way for a new terminal. The project brought some features you'll still recognize at CHA today, including our iconic rotunda and a new concourse.

Swipe through to see the terminal under construction and the finished rotunda. It may look familiar, but a lot has changed since then!
