Watching these personalized pencils return home at the end of the school year always makes me smile.

Yes, we donate plenty of regular pencils to the classroom as part of his school supply list. These, though? These are just for him.

They're little reminders that someone believes in him, is cheering him on, and is with him every step of the school day. Sometimes, a few encouraging words on a pencil are all it takes to boost confidence before a test, a hard assignment, or a challenging moment.

Summer break as a mom is basically a full-time job with a side hustle as a chauffeur, or as I like to call it: Mommy Uber.

Between sports camp drop-offs, pick-ups, keeping everyone fed (what feels like 15 snacks a day), and making sure the kids stay active, the days stay pretty full.

But honestly? This is exactly what they need. Time to build friendships, work toward goals, learn new skills, and stay active during the summer months.

And while they're off making memories, I'm over here working on your orders—creating personalized items that help children learn, grow, and feel a little extra special.

In my book, that's a win-win.

The kids get opportunities to thrive, and I get to create products that support learning and bring smiles to families.

Now if you'll excuse me, I think someone is asking for snack number 16. 😂💝

As 2025 begins, once again, I don’t do New Year’s resolutions for KX Designs—I set business goals instead.

New Year's resolutions are quite popular and personal but often lack structure. Business goals, on the other hand, are strategic, measurable, and tied to the mission of a business. They come with a plan, resources, and accountability, all aimed at driving real growth and success. I spent the last few weeks reflecting on the highs and lows of 2024.

For me, it’s not about hoping things happen—it’s about making them happen. And 2024 was a wild ride, but I never gave up! I'm grateful to my parents for instilling and demonstrating the values needed to be determined, strategic, patient, and resourceful as a small business owner.

So, here I am, ready to take on 2025 with all the lessons of 2024!🥳💝🤗
