Meet Teri Bell, Office Manager at The Advisors
If you’ve worked with Transportation Advisors, there’s a good chance you’ve connected with Teri Bell. As Office Manager, Teri is often one of the friendly, familiar voices helping clients navigate the sometimes overwhelming world of DOT compliance. Ask her what she loves most about her role, and the answer is simple: building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
Teri joined The Advisors after retiring from a 30-year career in healthcare administration. Looking for something completely different, she was introduced to Tom Holden through a mutual friend, and four years later, she’s become an important part of the team supporting motorcoach, school bus, and black car operators across the country.
One area she especially enjoys overseeing is the DOT Random Drug Testing Program. Day to day, she helps clients get drivers compliant and ready to get behind the wheel, while also taking the time to explain what’s needed and why those requirements matter. She believes one of the biggest misconceptions about DOT compliance is that people underestimate how important federal regulations are in helping ensure public safety.
When clients work with Teri, they can expect quality, honesty, and friendliness. Her coworkers would probably also tell you she’s direct and to the point, which honestly makes her incredibly effective in a business where clarity matters.
The best advice she’s carried throughout her career? “You are responsible for your career, no one else.”
Outside the office, Teri loves spending time with her family and grandchildren. And if she weren’t working in compliance? She says she’d happily be sitting in a rocking chair on her front porch with a cup of coffee, which fits perfectly since she’s definitely an early bird and proudly team coffee.
