Changing traffic signal timing to focus more on the safety of pedestrians and bikers is one viable way to make roads safer for all. With more snow predicted this weekend, here are a few ways you can help road crews and your neighbors:

❄️ Move cars into the driveway before a storm so crews have room to clear streets, especially in cul-de-sacs.

❄️ Shovel snow to the left of your driveway (when facing from the street) to prevent snowplows from pushing it back.

❄️ Keep the area around your mailbox clear for postal deliveries.

❄️ Clear snow around fire hydrants to save time in emergencies.

❄️ Keep catch basins clear to prevent flooding.

❄️ Clear snow and ice from nearby sidewalks to help with pedestrian safety.
