Don't forget Honor the WASP Day is this Saturday! We have a great group of ladies who will be going out to the gravesites of the local WASP to honor them. This is such a great national event and we are so honored to be able to participate this year!

Michigan chapters of Women in Aviation International and the 99’s are coming together across the state to honor the legacy of the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP)—and we want YOU with us on SATURDAY, MAY 23rd.

✨ How to Participate
Join a regional team for a day of remembrance:

-Gather for brunch at a designated meet-up location (optional)
-Coordinate with your team to visit 3–6 assigned gravesites
-Place memorials and pay tribute to these trailblazing women

Grand Rapids | Northwest Grand Rapids | Southeast Michigan | Southwest Michigan

Two of our board members, Samantha P (President), and Taylor V (Outreach Coordinator) paid a visit to to present to the Lady Aviators about their careers in Aviation, about WAI Great Lakes, and how they got to where they are today. They were able to bring some "show and tell" items too!

Samantha works in Cybersecurity at . Taylor works in Estimating and Engineering at . Both companies have roots in Grand Rapids!

WMAA was very welcoming and eager to learn about these two unique aviation careers. They would welcome any other speakers to come talk to the Lady Aviators about other opportunities in the field.

👩‍✈️🙍‍♀️✈️ Happy World Women in Aviation Week! Did you do anything extraordinary?

It’s World Women in Aviation Week and we want to give a shout out to all the incredible women at Life Flight Network and across the aviation and aerospace fields.

This week marks the anniversary of the first female pilot’s license, granted in March 1910, and celebrates the many ways women contribute to advancing aviation.

Aviation has historically been a male-dominated field. In fact, women still make up only a small percentage of many aviation roles today. But every year that number grows, thanks to the talented professionals who continue to raise the bar and inspire the next generation of aviation.

So this week, take a moment to recognize the women you work with, whether they’re flying the aircraft, turning the wrenches, caring for patients, coordinating flights, or supporting the work behind the scenes. Life Flight Network is stronger because of the people who choose to serve here, and the women across our organization are a big part of what makes this team exceptional.

We had a great time at WACS- Women's Aviation Career Symposium today meeting new people and spreading awareness of everything Women in Aviation International has to offer on both a large and local scale! Meeting new people, sharing our love of Aviation, and making new connections is what this is all about. Having a community to fall back on and help you reach forward. We have some pretty amazing women in this chapter from all areas of Aviation 💙
