Automated speed enforcement is not being rolled out as one federal program. Instead, it's arriving state by state, law by law, work zone by work zone. 🚧

There are at least 19 states authorized to use speed cameras in highway work or construction zones (see map below). Nine states - Arizona, Florida, Kansas, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire and South Caroline - prohibit automated speed cameras. And then there are states using cameras in school zones, at intersections or under more limited authority.

And it's only expected to grow. Why? Safely pulling over a vehicle in a construction zone is limited. Automated enforcement solves that problem.

So, keep and eye on your speed in these states. Someone is always watching. 👀
