My sweet dear friend Linda Loo I will miss you and our adventures more than words can explain! You loved Jesus, your family, your dog Sadie and your wonderful garden.

Your time here was too short, you are missed by many and our lives have an empty spot that only you could fill. I want you to know how grateful I am for our friendship.

May you rest in peace, your faith filled to the brim as you gaze in the eyes of Jesus.

My wonderful best friend Linda Symms a genuinely beautiful woman succumbed to head injuries received when she was thrown from her horse.

WHO is NANA

My grandmother, Lillian was the family matriarch, until she departed. She was born 1916, in Alabama. She was the middle girl, having a older and younger sister. My great grandfather was shot and killed in the line of duty, leaving behind a wife and 3 girls. Their life was not easy. Lillian quit school in the 6th grade, to support her mother and sisters. She married at 16, had 3 kids by age 20. Obie D was the eldest son, followed by JoeBill and the youngest was a girl, my mother Nettie. That is how Lillian became my Nana! She remarried the love of her life, my Poppy - John. Then they discovered his 3 sons were awarded to the State of Utah, Nana and my mom went to Salt Lake City and Lillian adopted the 3 boys - John Allen, David and Terry. This gave my mom 5 brothers, and more mouths for Nana’s cooking. The 1950’s was not a time of woman entrepreneurs, but that did not sway my Nana from starting the M & M Truck Stop in northwest corner of Colorado.

My Nana did things outside the “normal box” and since having a food product is REALLY far from my “normal” I felt inspired by the amazing things my Nana did in her lifetime. My Nana loved preparing and serving up delicious food to her family and friends, so that is why this tasty snack is named after my NANA!
