Obstacle Course Racing Club at Georgia Tech

Obstacle Course Racing Club at Georgia Tech Are you a fan of American Ninja Warrior? Ever wanted to run a Spartan Race? Now's your chance to get involved in the world of Obstacle Course Racing!

The Obstacle Course Racing Club at Georgia Tech is looking for members who are interested in participating in obstacle course races, such as Spartan Race and BattleFrog. We will provide suggested workouts to members that can be completed at their convenience and organize transportation to events. Long term goals of the club include:
1) Organize a team to race at the Obstacle Course Racing World Ch

ampionships, held in October
2) Coordinate with Georgia Tech ROTC to build a team to compete in the BattleFrog College Competition
3) Gather a group of good people interested in improving themselves

Last week marked the most epic race event of the year: the OCR World Championships. Georgia Tech had three members represent their school and their country in Blue Mountains, Canada. Chris Acuff and Jared Mehnert finished in 2:07:31 and 2:49:35 with 100% obstacle completion and Scott Claudon finished in 2:57:15. Congratulations to them all!

Georgia Tech's OCR Club representing at Conquer the King in Dallas, GA. Chris Acuff showed off his talent yet again, taking second place behind Yuri Force with a time of 1:29. Jared Mehnert took 12th with 1:58 and Scott Claudon got 18th with 2:45.
Less than a month until these three head to Toronto, Canada to take on the best of the best at the OCR World Championships.
