Anybody else attending the Western States Trucking Association conference in Ontario, CA on April 13, 2024?

I reserved my room and rented a hybrid car for the trip! I'm really looking forward to learning more about impending legislation and trucking trends that will confront our industry this year!

Would love to meet up with my fellow truckers for dinner and/or drinks that Friday evening! I'm anxious to hear your strategies to survive our changing industry and crazy trucking stories!!!

My name is Stephani Aronson. I am the President of Stephani’s Trucking, Inc. and a resident of East Sims Road, Brentwood, California.

I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for the exceptional service and bravery demonstrated by the
Contra Costa County Sheriff Office in resolving the Monday, January 22, 2024 armed standoff and murder-suicide in our neighborhood. Shara Kent, the murder victim, was one of my best friends. I live two doors down from her residence. I am also the person who placed the 911 on that tragic day.

In the face of a truly challenging and dangerous situation, your team's professionalism, dedication, and courage played a pivotal role in bringing about a peaceful resolution. Your ability to maintain composure and ensure the safety of our community during such a tense event is commendable.

I want to acknowledge the sacrifices and risks you and your colleagues took throughout the 12-hour standoff. Your swift and effective response undoubtedly prevented further harm and allowed us to regain a sense of security. The community is immensely grateful for your unwavering commitment to ensuring public safety.

Please extend my appreciation to all members of your team who were involved in managing this critical situation. Their efforts have not gone unnoticed, and I am sincerely thankful for their service. I especially want to thank the deputies who stopped by the next day to express their condolences to Adrian, Shara’s 19-year-old son. This kind gesture was very reassuring and meant the world to him.

Once again, thank you for your dedication to upholding the safety and well-being of our community. Your actions have made a lasting positive impact, and we are fortunate to have such a capable and dedicated law enforcement team.

Happy New Year, Neighbors!

I have some exciting news for my community! I have upgraded my equipment to better serve you!

Meet "Fat Albert", my new dump truck! We call him "Al" for short!

Al is a 2011 Peterbilt 367 and equipped with a 450 HP motor. He's not exactly a "Pretty Boy" like my old truck Batman, but Al is built for the dirt and hauling rock! Al has a dump body built on a cement truck chassis. He sports a 20,000 lb steer axle, heavy-duty, double frame and has GROUND CLEARANCE! Al hauls 16-18-tons/yards per load.

Like any used truck will, Al kept Rex, Phil's Diesel, and Diesel Masters pretty busy for the first six months I owned him. But now he's sporting all new brakes, air bags, and tires on all four axles. His tandem axles have new brake housings and assemblies, too. His front suspension has been completely rebuilt. He got two new injectors and injector pumps, plus a valve adjustment. And, many of the components in his DEF system are brand new. Al even got a new windshield!

Al is one tough truck! His engine purrrs like a kitten, while his tires and suspension allow him to claw his way to the top of a mountain fully loaded!

The Interstate Numbering System

I found a really cute animated video short about the mystery of the interstate numbering system. Yes, it's true! Before the invention of GPS systems, truckers navigated using this mysterious "secret code" and paper maps!

Did you know that interstates majors running east to west across the nation horizontally are double-digits and end with a zero, like I-10 (smaller numbers are western-most) and I-90 (larger numbers are eastern-most interstates).

Interstates running north to south across the nation vertically are double-digits and end in a five, like I-5 (smaller numbers are western-most interstate) and I-95 (larger numbers are eastern-most interstate). Of course, you have to imagine the leading zero in I-5, which should really be I-05.

My driver is so freaking annoying! Every time we stop for fuel I have to listen to her p**s and moan about the price!

Batman again!

I can't BELIEVE my stupid driver!

Ohhh.... I am mad!

First, the dummy took me belly crawling through a pasture like an Army-clad Ken doll and allowed mud to tickle my transmission.

Adding injury to insult, my stupid driver then managed to rip my front fender completely off my body!

She amputated my fiberglass mud catcher without so much as giving me an aspirin first!

The last straw was what I overheard her saying to Adrian!

Do you know what she said??? Do you???

I'll tell you what she said! Get this! She said I'D LOOK BETTER WITH BAJA FENDERS LIKE A VOLKSWAGON DUNE BUGGY!!!

I've never been so insulted in my life!!!

Batman again!

Wow! Adriane, my driver and I had a wild and crazy Thanksgiving Eve with the crew from Cowboy Concrete and Gavin's Trucking!

It was a night of burying me in the mud, mini cows and an Emu! We worked under the stars in Alhambra Valley.

Oh, don't forget to ask my driver about my fender-ectomy! Yup! She did it again! Driver's side this time! Doesn't she realize I'm not a Monster Truck with ground clearance?
