Some of Florida’s best springs are the ones most people never see. 💦

Standing above this one, I couldn’t help but think about how many of these places are hidden right in plain sight.

Sometimes the hard part isn’t finding the spring… You just have to know where to look… and figure out how to get to them. 👀

After visiting well over 100 Florida springs, I’m still amazed at what’s out there waiting to be discovered that are hiding right in plain sight.

🎒🐟 Looks like even the fish know school is back in session!

With the summer crowds starting to thin out, this may be one of the best times of year to enjoy Florida’s springs. Fewer people, more room to explore, and plenty of surprises waiting beneath the surface.

I’ve seen a lot of beautiful springs, but every once in a while, one gives you a perspective that makes you stop and take it all in.

Sometimes the last stop of the day turns out to be one of the most memorable. Cousin John and I almost called it a day—but we decided to check out one more place. Glad we did!

Another stop, another story, and another reminder that the best adventures don’t have to cost a lot.

Ever seen a fish this big launch out of the water? 😳🐟

Before opening the 2026 Florida lobster season in Key West, Karen and I stopped at the famous Robbie’s in Islamorada to hand-feed the giant tarpon.

I’ll admit, that first fish coming out of nowhere had my attention! It was exciting, nerve-racking, and an experience we won’t forget.

We kept hearing about The Season God, so Karen and I finally had to see what all the hype was about!

This little seafood spot outside Orlando was absolutely packed. The line was out the door, and we ended up waiting 30 minutes to order and another 45 minutes for our food.

But after trying the famous shrimp fries, fried lobster and crab boil… YES, it was worth the wait! 🦞🍤

We almost drove right past this one… and we would have missed a true Florida gem. 💧

During our mid-March Spring Hop across the Florida Panhandle, Cousin John and I followed a half-mile red dirt road into the Econfina Creek area not knowing what we were about to find.

What waited at the end was Williford Spring — a beautiful, peaceful spring with crystal-clear 72° water, a powerful spring vent, and all the things we’ve come to love about Florida’s natural springs.

I even made a few dives to the spring opening and came back up with a little souvenir after someone told me they couldn’t reach it.

The best part? Places like this are exactly why we love exploring Florida… and Williford Spring is completely FREE to visit.
