“Hoggin & Rockin”

Ciceley and I (Doug) started out with a lawn care business and ran it for 5 years. We did this as our side business while we both had full time jobs. I was a service man for a local hog company and CC (Ciceley) was a waitress at her grandmothers restaurant. We bought a nursery hog farm from my parents in 2016 and continued with our full time jobs and now had two side businesses. At this point all we did was work and come home eat go to bed and start it all over tomorrow. In middle of 2017 we bought our 1st dump truck and began sub-contracting for a local trucking company. This was a whole different world than either one of us had ever been in and now we were starting our 3rd business and time was not in our favor so in December 2017 I left the hog company and focused all my time into the Dump Truck business and our farm. CC also quit full time work at the restaurant and focused on the Lawn care business and our farm. We had good luck with the trucking business and farm so we decided in March 2018 to hire our 1st driver and purchase two more dump trucks. Dump trucking was something we both enjoyed along with the farm and had started the process to purchase another hog farm a few miles from our home in late 2018. We decided 2018 would be our last year in lawn care and to focus on dump trucking and the farms. Beginning of 2019 we purchased the other hog farm and named it HOGGIN & ROCKIN FARMS tying together the two things we enjoyed doing. We currently have the 2 Hog Farms, 3 Dump Trucks, 2 excavators and are now transitioning to the land clearing/grading side of the business. There is nothing better than being able to play in the dirt and make a living doing what we enjoy.
