This great Chalkware Santa in a cart made using an antique chocolate mold from Belgium is rather unique and another rare mold in our large collection of vintage chocolate molds that were a staple in the many confection shops that adorned the towns and small villages of Europe. Please not that this chalkware Santa in a cart being pulled by a little pony has snowy glitter on it made of real crushed glass that we get from Germany. Glitter was an old European tradition always made by crushing glass in micro pieces. The sparkle of this piece brings back memories of snow covered villages and the excitement of the Christmas season. This piece is only going to be made in a limited quantity, and as a gift to you we are including a vintage angel made using a C 1915 chocolate mold. Please inquire about pricing and shipping.

At Rich Connolly Folk Art we hold Holiday Traditions dear to our hearts. We have been hand making our historic Chalkware for 38 years using antique chocolate molds most of them coming from Germany. In our first of a series we took one of our oldest molds of an old Father Christmas Circa 1885 and adopted the family tradition of home baked gingerbread cookies and gingerbread houses.

This Father Christmas Chalkware piece comes from a very rare C.1890 Chocolate Mold that was made in Germany. Wonderful detail to this piece with a toy wooden soldier being carried in his toy sack, along with candy canes that adorn the back of his sack as well.
