Our home of 18 months is officially ready for its next owner. Sarah and I built this van to be a true 4-season sanctuary, and it has taken us from the deserts of Utah to -15°F nights in the Rockies without missing a beat. Whether you are looking for a full-time rig or the ultimate weekend warrior, this van is turn-key and ready to go.

The Highlights
The Build: 100% DIY with a focus on durability. Baltic Birch cabinetry, butcher block counters, and massive garage storage using 80/20 aluminum extrusion as the framing. Includes a Nature’s Head composting toilet with a 12V vent fan.
The Capability: 3 inch Dark Star Offroad (Off Highway Van) lift kit, upgraded suspension, and nearly new Falken Wildpeak A/T tires. We also added a heavy-duty skid plate to protect the engine and transmission.
Outdoor Living: Rhino-Rack awning over the sliding door and ceramic window tint on the front glass for maximum heat rejection. Hookups for a propane outdoor shower out the back.
The Comfort: Fully insulated with Havelock Wool and heated by a programmable Espar gasoline heater (tapped directly into the fuel tank).
The Power: Pro-grade electrical setup with 200Ah Lithium batteries, 350W of solar, 60A DC-DC alternator charging, and Victron components. Monitor everything from your phone or the wall-mounted Simarine Pico display.

Quick Stats
Price: $48,000 OBO
Mileage: 140,000 (well-maintained at Ram dealerships)

An early morning start—2 AM!—to see the sunrise at Cadillac Mountain, the first spot on the East Coast to see the sun in the morning. 🌅

It took us longer than we expected but we found some fresh off the boat Maine lobstah! We stopped at Barney’s Cove Lobster Co., in Beals, ME to grab lunch on the 4th but they were closed and thankfully someone leaving told us to go see Garrett down on the dock for fresh lobstah. We steamed all four lobstahs that night and had an amazing steamed lobstah dinner that night followed up by phenomenal lobstah rolls the next.

We finally made it to Maine! We’re in Eastport, the easternmost city in the U.S. and home of 20’ tides. It’s been on our list from the very beginning and we made it just in time to celebrate our one year vanniversary! 🦞🧈🥖🌊

We had too much stoke this morning to eat breakfast so we made a killer brunch in the van! 🍳🥓🍞🥂

We didn’t have a briefcase full of💰, a Ferrari, or the blue & orange tuxedos but we still enjoyed snowboarding at Aspen this week and I still can’t get this quote out of my head! 😆😆😆

“I’m talkin’ about a place where the beer flows like wine, where the women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano. I’m talkin’ about Aasssspen.”

Snowboarding season is here! We plan to be chasing snow…or bluebird days 😎 and groomers in Colorado for the next couple weeks using our and would love recommendations for places to park/camp, eat, and visit. We are planning to hit Aspen, Copper, A-Basin, Winter Park, and Steamboat, so let us know what we should check out. And, if you’re in the area, let’s hang out!

Santa Fe wasn’t on our original plan of places to visit but we absolutely loved it! The Historic Plaza was beautifully lit up for the holidays, the farmers market and the artisan market were both so much fun, and the people we met were warm and inviting. Also, who knew Santa Fe was at nearly 7,200’ above sea level and it’s the oldest capital city in the U.S.!

Carlsbad Caverns N.P. is a bucket list destination for many people and we were fortunate enough to explore it with Sarah’s mom & stepdad so they could check it off their list. The caverns hold the largest, readily accessible cave chamber in North America, The Big Room, which is 8.2 acres! That’s about 6 NFL footballs fields for just that one room and it’s entirely underground! 🤯🤯🤯🤯

Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument caught our eye when we looked at maps earlier in our trip. A hidden gem outside Las Cruces, New Mexico, we had a wonderful time exploring the peaks, dodging cacti, and meeting new friends at our BLM campsite.
