My Wife, Youngest Son and Grandson took a trip to the Dallas area for a Family Reunion in the Jaybird, and stayed at the Waterfront Hideaway Ranch RV Park in Little Elm, Texas. Please be sure to check out my Wife's Tour and Review of this RV park.
On the way back home, my Wife and Grandson took a tour of Natchitoches, Louisiana, specifically the Kaffie-Frederick General Store, which is the oldest general store in Louisiana!
They rounded out this Jaybird Journey with a stopover in New Orleans (Wife has a business seminar there), where she paid respects to the victims of the Bourbon Street Attack that happened during the 2025 New Year's celebration.
They finally brought it on home where our Grandson got on the road himself in the go-kart!

She stayed at a Harvest Host in Kentucky, then visited Mammoth Cave before bringing the Jay Nest and Big Charlie back home.

Please help me wish my beautiful Wife a Blessed and Happy Birthday!
I honestly don't know where I'd be if this young lady wasn't in my life. She is living proof that Proverbs 18:22 in the Bible is true: "He that finds a Wife, finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord."
Chelesa definitely is a blessing in my life and our family, and I can bet that she's a blessing in everyone's lives she's met.
Matter of fact, she's on the road for the Diaper Bank, working on her birthday, for the citizens of Gulfport Mississippi. She is truly a blessing and a gift from God. ❤

Good morning! Day 4 of Ice Storm 2026. The sun is shining and temperatures are supposed to get above freezing. We are 50 hours in without power but still warm and safe. Thank you, Lord!

We are so thankful for our Jay Nest. We never thought this would be our retreat during an ice storm for warmth and a place to cook. This was just supposed to be our access to adventures on our own terms. But, it is so much more. This is the other side of owning an RV. For that, we are grateful and thankful.

We're dealing with the effects of an ice storm, and we have no power in our house, but the Jaybird got propane so we're all good!
