10/1/26 -- First move in October. This move was booked as a 3-man crew but I decided to bring an extra helper at no charge. This turned out to be a wise decision because even with three helpers and myself, this move took 7.5 hours. The customer had hired me to move her parents to a senior community and they had A LOT of stuff -- 5 rooms, the basement, the garage, and a patio set.
A lot of time was spent wrapping because the parents' items were mostly high end and needed additional protection. We also had two beds to disassemble and reassemble, and a mirror had to be detached from a dresser and then reattached. There was also a lot of glass that needed to be wrapped. Some items were very large and heavy. I ended up maxing out my equipment.
Everything was unloaded, unwrapped, reassembled, and placed in about 2.5 hours. Pictured is the parents' living room in their new address. To the left of the windows is a curio cabinet. I removed the four glass shelves myself and placed them back myself because they were all an odd shape and doing all of that was very tricky. I also put extra wrapping on the curio to protect the glass. My guys were very careful bringing this item and the other items in, and they placed them all where the customer requested. All items were delivered in perfect condition, and no damage to either address.
Pictured is the mom, a cancer survivor, and a really nice lady. When the move was completed, she agreed to pose for a photo. She was very happy with the service we provided and to give a thumbs up. Her daughter, who earlier had to leave to catch a flight, had already remitted payment and added a generous gratuity for my guys. The father, a veteran of the US Marine Corp, was a pleasure to deal with and talk with, and I thanked him for his service to our country. Semper Fi.
