If you’ve been around here for a while, you know Flying G has been through a few different seasons. 🤎 And if you’re new here, I figured it was time to re-introduce myself.
Flying G started with my mom’s scrap pile. 😂 I was making leather earrings to help get through college, and the whole idea actually came from a class project.
After graduating in 2020, I took the leap and went full-time. Then came the viral videos, five-figure months, our first NFR show, and a whole lot of things I never imagined for myself.
It was exciting, a little crazy, and life-changing in the best ways.
But somewhere between the hustle, the growth, and trying to constantly come up with the next thing, I burned myself out. Then came motherhood, which changed just about everything I thought I knew about my life and my business.
I wouldn’t trade being a mama to my boys for anything. But learning to balance motherhood with the part of me that still wants to create, work, and contribute financially has been a journey of its own.
The last couple of years have been quieter around here. My reach and sales have taken a hit, and I’ve spent a lot of time wondering what I want the next chapter of Flying G to look like.
Here’s what I do know: I’m not ready to give it up.
I still have ideas. I still love creating. I want to explore more original artwork, make collections that feel true to me, and build something that lets me be both the mama I want to be and the creative business owner I love being.
I don’t have it all figured out, and maybe that’s okay. Maybe this season is about finding a different rhythm instead of trying to recreate the old one.
So, whether you’ve been here since the beginning or you’re just finding Flying G, I’m glad you’re here. Thank you for sticking around, supporting my little corner of the internet, and giving me a reason to keep creating. 🫶🏼
