🗳️Good news, Georgia! The Transportation Tax Referendum to be held this November.

From the coastal corner of Georgia to the north Georgia mountains counties are preparing to make a big decision on November 5 – whether to approve a Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax or TSPLOST.🛣️🚍

🔧 Where’s it happening? In Cobb, Douglas, Forsyth, Gwinnett, Hall, Henry, Murray, and other counties this is a referendum question.

💡 What’s at stake? The money collected will be applied on needs such as road pavement or upgrading the public transport systems among others. Some of the counties could mobilise billions of shillings in the next few years to address congestion, safety and mobility challenges.

📢🚚 FMCSA Regulations Update: AEB and Speed Limiters! 🚚📢

The Spring Regulatory Agenda released by the White House seems to imply that because of the upcoming elections, there will be a slowdown in rulemaking and that these regulations will be affected. 🗳️⏳

The FMCSA is pushing for standarized AEB systems in large trucks and expects to have a final rule in early 2025 to make the highways a safer place. 🚛🛣️

Speed limiter regulations have yet to be fully developed the first proposed rule has been pending since 2016, and the next update is expected to come out sometime around May 2025. Speed limits are still being discussed, but it's in progress. 🚦💨
