Can we talk about the girls trip for a minute.
Not the bachelorette kind. Not the quick weekend where you're back before Monday. The real kind — where you actually go somewhere, stay somewhere worth staying, and spend a full week remembering who you are outside of your regular life.
At the beginning of May I did just that- Four of us, seven days, Animal Kingdom Lodge. Two to a room, which meant enough space that we could breathe without being on top of each other. Some days we all moved together. Some days we split off and did exactly what each of us wanted, and had stories to trade.
There was one day at Animal Kingdom that I still think about. It was the perfect park day! We stayed until after dark (extra magic hours) — and walked through Pandora at night. If you haven't seen it, the entire land transforms after sunset. The plants glow. The paths pulse with light. The whole place feels like you've stepped onto another world entirely. The four of us just kind of went quiet and walked through it together, and nobody said anything for a while because there wasn't anything to say.
That's the moment.
A girls trip to Disney World is not a kids trip without the kids. It's something else entirely — slower, more intentional, full of the kind of unscheduled time that actual friendship is made of.
If this is something you've been thinking about with your people, I'd love to help you plan it. I know this property, this park, and exactly how to build a week that gives everyone what they came for.
Who's the friend you'd want to send this to?
