Save this before you book 👇

1️⃣ Pre-Cruise Hotel Stay — You don’t want to be worried about missing your ship by flying in the same day. Arrive early and settle in the night before your cruise departs!

2️⃣ Transportation — Whether you take Uber, Lyft, Disney shuttle or private driver, you need to factor in how you will get to and from the ship. Some ports are much farther from the airport than others so it can add up.

3️⃣ Port adventures — those excursions are booked (and priced) separately from your cruise. The good ones sell out, so I always tell my families to budget AND book early. I also work with other suppliers that can often be more cost effective!

4️⃣ Drinks — Specialty coffees, smoothies and alcohol are all extra. And heads up: DCL tightened the alcohol you can bring aboard this year, so don’t count on stocking your stateroom like you used to.

5️⃣ Gratuities — these aren’t included and get added per guest, per night. For a family of four on a week-long sailing, that adds up fast. Budget for it upfront so it’s not a surprise on your final bill.

None of this is meant to scare you off — Disney cruises are 100% worth it! I just want you walking on board knowing exactly what you’re spending so you can actually relax.

Surfside Eatery is our go-to breakfast spot on Icon of the Seas! It was never crowded and offered the perfect mix of breakfast items buffet style 🍳 Another great change to the Icon class ships! 🙌

The Bubbles Champagne Bar was a great addition to one of my favorite neighborhoods on Oasis and Icon class ships! 🥂 I usually recommend booking Deck 8 on these ships for the easy access to the Central Park neighborhood and the Icon class ships have even improved upon this location! 🌱
