Had a lovely evening last night with a good friend (thanks Fritz for partying late!) A day of moving chores with Lang Lavigne, and now for a sunny spring meal on the bbq.

Well we did it! After a year and a half of projects we were finally able to go out and use Argonauta for her intended purpose. Exploring.
Yesterday there were a lot of firsts for our our little family. Our first destination trip and over night stay on Argonauta away from the dock. First time picking up a mooring ball for me. Gooses first dinghy ride to shore, as well as his first time to wake up surround by water. And my first time to wake up and enjoy the early morning peace in a quiet anchorage.

Dave and I are both so thankful for all the support, guidance, and help we have received from our families, friends and community! Without all of you this dream may not have come to life. We have a home that we can take anywhere in the world that the salt water touches, and we look forward to sharing it with you all, whether by social media or be able sharing our home with you here in the San Jauns.

Much love and woof woof!

Wow! It has been almost a year since we last posted. Time has really flown by!
We have new decks, the mast and sails are up, and we're in the water at our permanent slip. We are currently working on a pre-move aboard list to make the transition smoother. There are a couple of minor pluming and electrical projects, hooking up the last of our navigation lights, fixing some lighting, and sealing up a few more leaks in the cabin top that have appeared as the winter has set in.
There are lots of photos and stories of the projects that we have completed, and can't wait to share our story with you all!

Cheers from Colleen, Dave, and Goose!

Happy Easter! Lot has happened since posting last. Our mast has been taken out and Argonauta is now inside the building!...

Happy Easter! Lot has happened since posting last. Our mast has been taken out and Argonauta is now inside the building! Now the real work has begun. This last week, Dave has been able to remove the anchor windlass, jib tracks, deck fills, and other miscellaneous deck hardware. We pulled out the chain plates for replacing, and began stripping the old teak from the deck!

It’s been a busy weekend on our girl!
When we purchased Argonauta, she had a wood workshop in the v-berth, after some serious thought we decided to remove the shop bench in favor of the additional sleeping space. So while Dave worked on the work bench, I took the time to start emptying the the spares out of the cabinets, taking inventory, and cleaning the interiors. I was also able to start pulling down the ceiling panels and getting a look at the bottom side of the deck and marking where there are any signs of water intrusion for when we remove the teak decks and do any repairs.
