Looking for weekend plans? We have a pretty good one: Go to the farmers market 🫜🧑‍🌾

Over 90% of farmers market shoppers say they enjoy the experience of shopping at farmers markets (USDA Agricultural Marketing Service, 2021).

Grab a friend, bring a tote, try something new, and see what’s waiting at your local market. Fresh food + local farmers + a fun morning = Sounds like a win to us! 🙌

✅ 80% of people in the United States visit a farmers market at least once a year (Farmers Market Coalition, 2024).

That number reflects the role farmers markets play in connecting people with local producers, food, and the communities around them.

Every market looks a little different. That’s what makes each story worth telling.

Lettuce is having a moment. 🥬

With recent concerns around lettuce and food safety, more shoppers may be thinking about where their produce comes from and how it gets to their plate.

Local farmers markets offer a chance to make that connection a little more direct. You can talk with the farmers who grow your food, learn what’s in season, ask questions about growing practices, and support local producers at the same time.

It’s a small way to stay connected to your food and the people behind it, especially when the food system can otherwise feel pretty far removed from our everyday lives.

And honestly, meeting the person who grew your lettuce beats trusting a plastic bag with a vague backstory.
