From July 1, those who are importing NEA regulated home appliance (air-conditioners, clothes dryers, household water heaters, refrigerators, televisions and three-phase induction motors) for their own use will have to register such goods on NEA's portal before importing them into Singapore.
NEA's Portal: https://go.gov.sg/elsportal
A certificate of registration will then be issued to those who have registered. Once issued, the certificate is valid for three years and is renewable.

Updates (June 30, 2026):
1. This new regulation only applies to purchases made on or after July 1.
2. The following information is required by the NEA portal:
• Product brand and model
• User manual
• Product brochure/catalogue
• Product modification records (if any)
• Product testing report
• Letter of authorization (if a third party is entrusted to handle registration)
• If the testing report is issued by a third-party laboratory, a valid ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation certificate must be attached
• Valid accreditation documents corresponding to the testing standards from the third-party testing organization
3. If the appliance uses flammable refrigerants, the supplier/importer (for self-use) must submit a Declaration of Conformity to the Civil Defence Force and apply for an In-Principle Approval (IPA) before importing or selling the equipment.
Detailed specifications can be found in the latest Civil Defence Force circular: https://www.scdf.gov.sg/.../acts-codes-and-regulations
When registering such appliances with NEA (including first-time applications and certificate renewals), the In-Principle Approval document issued by the Civil Defence Force must be uploaded simultaneously.
4. Under the "Energy Conservation Act" of Singapore, all parties must comply with the mandatory requirements of MELS and MEPS. Individuals or companies in violation may face fines of up to SGD10000. If false declarations result in goods being detained in storage, the storage costs shall be borne by the consignee. If Singapore Customs or NEA verifies false declarations, consignee may be subject to fines.

Important Notice to All Customers
=========================================
Shenzhen Airport Public Security Bureau (PSB) recently carried out a special operation to crack down on illegal and dangerous goods. One of our shipments was detained after being falsely declared as other goods by the customer, but in fact contained Class 9 dangerous goods (lithium battery power banks).
PSB has classified this as illegal smuggling of dangerous goods. The case is still under investigation, with fines expected to range from CNY3,000 up to CNY200,000. Even after fines are paid, PSB has confirmed that the goods will not be released and must be surrendered. Our director has been required to attend PSB with recipient information to provide a statement.
We emphasize that compliance with regulations is critical. Customers must ensure shipments do not contain prohibited or dangerous goods, and declarations must be accurate. Oops China has no choice but to follow PSB directives, and we cannot provide compensation for goods detained under such circumstances.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we continue to prioritize safe and compliant logistics operations.

Headline: Official Statement Regarding Ongoing Investigation Support

We would like to share an update regarding a recent cooperation with local law enforcement.

This afternoon, officers from the Public Security Bureau visited our office to conduct an investigation involving one of our Singapore-based clients. The investigation pertains to the printing of unauthorized materials (allegedly involving anti-government or extremist religious content) by a seized printing facility.

Our Board of Directors has fully cooperated with the authorities by:
• Providing relevant shipment and contact data from our system.
• Assisting with official statements at the police station to facilitate the investigation.

OOPS remains committed to operating within the legal framework of all jurisdictions where we serve. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards the distribution of illegal content and will continue to support the authorities in ensuring public safety and legal compliance.

Important Shipping Update (Continued)
===========================
The war in Iran continues, and global fuel prices remain unstable. This has led to further operational adjustments:
Singapore Couriers (Air & Sea): Rising fuel costs mean that some last‑mile deliveries now carry a fuel surcharge. At present, we are absorbing these charges to minimize the impact on customers.
Courier Redelivery Policy: Free redelivery is no longer available. Customers are strongly advised to ensure recipient information is complete and accurate to avoid failed deliveries and additional costs.
Freight Efficiency Measures: Consolidation of cargo above 2 CBM remains encouraged, with reduced freight rates helping offset rising delivery expenses.
We remain committed to supporting our customers during these challenging times and appreciate your cooperation in adapting to these changes.

📢 Regulatory Notice on Import Restrictions 📢
=================================
In accordance with the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) regulations, the following items are strictly prohibited from import into Singapore, including but not limited to:
- Meat
- Pork and lard
- Rice
- Eggs
- Seafood
Furthermore, pet food is classified as NParks-controlled goods and may only be imported from Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS) approved sources.
⚠️ Please be advised that any goods found in violation of these regulations will be detained by Singapore Customs.
❌ There will be no refund or return of such goods once detained.
We urge all customers to comply fully with these requirements to avoid enforcement action.

Important Shipping Update
===================
The ongoing war in Iran has now lasted for more than two weeks, and fuel costs continue to rise. Starting tomorrow, air freight shipments with sensitive cargo transiting via Hong Kong will inevitably require an increment of CNY2/kg, starting from tomorrow.
At the same time, the sharp increase in diesel prices in Singapore has significantly raised the delivery cost for LCL sea freight. To improve efficiency and reduce the number of delivery trips, we have decided to LOWER the freight rate for shipments above 2 CBM. This adjustment is designed to encourage customers to consolidate more cargo per shipment, helping everyone manage costs more effectively.
We appreciate your understanding and continued support during these challenging times.

Notice on Shipment Compliance
=====================
On 16 March, one of our air freight consignments was detained by China Customs after prohibited items — specifically living organisms — were discovered within the cargo.
We wish to remind all customers that our company maintains a strict prohibition on the shipment of living things, including but not limited to animals, insects, and plants. Such items are not permitted under our service scope and contravene both international shipping regulations and Singapore’s import laws.
Importing living organisms into Singapore without proper authorization can result in severe consequences, including confiscation of goods, financial penalties, and restrictions on future imports.
For the protection of all stakeholders and to ensure smooth logistics operations, we urge customers to comply fully with these regulations and refrain from including prohibited items in their shipments.
We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to safe and compliant shipping practices.
