Precision Engineering in Motion — Oversized Cargo Export to Jurong Port
SGO Logistics was recently entrusted with a technically demanding project involving the transportation of five (5) oversized cargo units, each measuring 510 cm in height, from the shipper’s facility to Jurong Port for export.
The primary challenge was not the road movement itself, but the restricted internal clearance within the origin warehouse. The limited headroom required detailed route analysis, dimensional studies, and equipment engineering to safely extract the cargo without structural interference or risk to the goods.
Our operations team conducted comprehensive site measurements, lift simulations, and equipment selection to determine the optimal transport solution. After careful evaluation, a modular drop deck trailer configuration was deployed. This specialized equipment provided the necessary deck height reduction while maintaining load stability, axle distribution compliance, and safe maneuverability throughout the journey.
Key ex*****on factors included:
• Precise clearance calculations from warehouse floor to exit points
• Selection of low-profile modular transport equipment
• Controlled extraction procedures within confined space
• Compliance with road transport regulations for oversized cargo
• Coordinated movement to meet export timelines at Jurong Port
Through meticulous planning and technical expertise, all five units were successfully mobilized and delivered for export without incident.
At SGO Logistics, complex cargo movements are not obstacles — they are engineering challenges we are built to solve.
