The IMO's World Maritime Day theme for 2026–2027 is “From Policy to Practice: Powering Maritime Excellence.”

For MOL Chemical Tankers, that means turning our standards into daily practice — on every vessel and in every office. Excellence comes from how we act on what we know, invest in our people, and keep improving the way we work, every day.

The key to excellent vessel operations? Experience.
As part of our Operations Experience Exchange Program, Wei Hng from our Singapore team participated in the program in Houston. During his visit, he had the opportunity to visit M/T “Diva”, developing a deeper understanding of cargo loading operations, operational challenges, and feedback from crew members.

Wei Hng also visited the LBC tank terminal in Houston, gaining valuable firsthand knowledge of tank terminal operations and the different berths.
It was a great opportunity to learn from the field, exchange experiences, and further enhance our understanding of safe and efficient vessel operations.

At MOLCT, we create opportunities for our people to learn from experience, share knowledge, and build the expertise that drives operational excellence.

Our Wilton team proudly partnered with NAMEPA (North American Marine Environment Protection Association) for our annual beach cleanup at Veterans Memorial Park in Norwalk.

Together, we collected 70 lbs (32 kg) of trash while helping protect the local marine environment, strengthen our community connections, and raise environmental awareness.

A big thank you to everyone who participated and made a positive impact. Great job, team!

Today, on the Day of the Seafarer, our shore team comes together with one clear voice for all seafarers everywhere: thank you.

This year's theme, “Carrying world trade. Carrying the risks.”, is a reminder of the vital role seafarers play and the challenges they face while keeping global trade moving.

Often working far from home and behind the scenes, seafarers make an essential contribution to the world economy and everyday life around the globe.

To all seafarers in the MOLCT family and beyond, thank you for all that you do. Wishing you safe voyages and smooth seas ahead🚢

At MOL Chemical Tankers, we believe that being a global leader in chemical tanker transportation means supporting the communities where we live and work.

This year, community outreach initiatives performed by MOL Chemical Tankers America, LLC on behalf of MOL Chemical Tankers are supporting three organizations that are making a meaningful impact:

• YMCA of Greater Houston – Helping expand access to water safety education and drowning prevention programs for children and families.
• Connecticut Maritime Association Education Foundation – Supporting the next generation of maritime professionals through educational programs and opportunities that benefit maritime academies and students across the industry.
• Stew Leonard III Water Safety Foundation – Advancing water safety awareness and education to help prevent childhood drowning and promote safe aquatic activities.

We are proud to support organizations that strengthen our communities, promote safety, and invest in the future of the maritime industry.
