YCH Group’s “We Rise Above” has won the Bronze Award at the prestigious Telly Awards, an international recognition celebrating excellence in video and television production.

Led by the SSC division in celebration of our 70-year journey, “We Rise Above” is more than a song. It is a tribute to the values that have carried YCH through the decades: resilience, integrity, sincerity, and enterprise. It reflects our story of growth, our ambitions for the future, and our continued commitment as Asia’s leading homegrown end-to-end supply chain solutions provider.

This achievement belongs to our YCHees, both those who worked tirelessly behind the scenes and those who appeared in the video. A heartfelt thank you to Emily Wong for composing the song, Tammy Ho and Sofia Yowendra for putting this together with the team, Click2View for producing the music video, and Ruike Yap for giving it life through her moving vocals.

Innovation thrives when great minds come together.

We are proud to organise our inaugural INNOVATHON 2026, an internal competition that brought employees together to develop innovative solutions for real business challenges. After weeks of collaboration, creativity, and final pitches, we were delighted to announce the winning teams during our Dinner & Dance event.

This year’s competition united teams across regions and functions to tackle operational and business challenges through innovation, technology, and transformation. From process automation to intelligent damage detection and management solutions, the quality of ideas and strong level of engagement reflected YCH Group’s vibrant innovation culture and forward-thinking spirit.

The YCH family came together this year for a futuristic-themed Dinner & Dance, celebrating not only how far we have come, but also the bold future we are building together.

The evening was filled with energy, creativity, and unforgettable moments — from dazzling performances by our EduRISE trainees to soulful renditions of We Rise Above (our 70th anniversary theme song) and timeless classics that brought everyone together in celebration. The event reflected the spirit of YCH: deeply rooted in strong values and heritage, while continually looking ahead with imagination, innovation, and ambition.

During the evening, our Executive Chairman Dr Robert Yap reflected on the people behind YCH’s journey, from its early transport roots to its role today as a trusted regional supply chain partner. His message was a reminder that YCH’s strength has always come from employees who stayed resilient through change, built capability through experience, and helped the company keep moving forward with purpose.

As we continue shaping the future of smart and sustainable supply chains, the celebration stood as a meaningful reflection of the innovation, unity, and forward-looking spirit that define the YCH family.

Driven by a shared commitment to continuous improvement and growth, we recently held our annual Management Retreat in Hanoi.

Stepping away from day-to-day operations, our leadership team came together to align on strategic priorities, strengthen collaboration, and chart the next phase of our journey.

This year’s discussions focused on accelerating the integration of artificial intelligence across our operations and sharpening our approach to operational excellence in key markets. These efforts will further strengthen how we serve customers across an increasingly complex supply chain landscape.

We also refined our SuperPort strategies and reaffirmed our commitment to developing the next generation of talent through initiatives such as the EduRISE programme, ensuring that we build both smart infrastructure and a future-ready workforce.

Understanding emissions is a key step toward building a more sustainable future.

In this post, we highlight Scope 3 emissions — the indirect greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions that occur in the value chain, including both upstream and downstream emissions.

In logistics, Scope 3 emissions arise from third-party transportation and distribution, and the purchase of goods and services. At YCH Group, we are addressing this by communicating and engaging with our suppliers, optimising logistics operations, and fostering a sustainable culture.

By tracking, analysing, and improving how energy is used, we aim to minimise our indirect emissions and move closer to our goal of Net-Zero emissions by 2050.

Dr Yap Kwong Weng, CEO of Vietnam SuperPort and Head of Strategy, Sustainability, and Communication at YCH Group, was invited to give a keynote address at the MHA Programme Graduation Ceremony hosted by SCALA.

Addressing a cohort of graduating participants transitioning from uniformed service into the logistics and supply chain industry, Dr Yap delivered a powerful reflection on courage, identity, and reinvention. As he shared, “Your first leap was the day you swore to protect this country. That was an act of courage. But this ‘second leap’, this transition, is an act of character. It is the leap that defines you.”

The 10-day MHA Programme is thoughtfully designed to support this transition, equipping participants with industry-relevant knowledge, immersive learning journeys, and practical tools for career readiness. Through a structured and supportive environment, participants gained exposure to the future of supply chains, experienced real-world operations, and built the confidence to navigate new career pathways.

This reflects YCH Group’s “teach a man to fish” philosophy — empowering individuals not just with opportunities, but with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to build sustainable careers over the long term.

Dr Yap Kwong Weng, CEO of Vietnam SuperPort™ and Head of Strategy, Sustainability and Communications at YCH Group, was recently featured on Vietnam Today, where he shared his perspectives on Vietnam’s railway developments and what they mean for businesses moving goods across the region.

The upcoming Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong and Lang Son rail links, targeted for completion by 2030, will give manufacturers in northern Vietnam and southern China a faster and more direct rail connection to seaports. This shortens inland transport legs, improves transit reliability and creates additional route options into ASEAN and global markets.

At Vietnam SuperPort, these rail links strengthen multimodal connectivity by linking inland rail directly with deep sea shipping and our off airport cargo terminal. This allows customers to move cargo more flexibly across rail, sea, air, and road depending on cost, speed, and disruption risks.

In today’s uncertain environment, this flexibility matters. Stronger land-sea connections give shippers practical alternatives when key maritime routes face congestion or disruption, helping them keep supply chains moving.

As Vietnam integrates its transport modes more closely, it is positioning itself as a route maker shaping how goods move across the region.

"Asia and the Future of Global Supply Chains" was the central theme as Dr. Robert Yap, Executive Chairman of YCH Group, met with General Secretary Tô Lâm and fellow Asian Business Council leaders in Hanoi, on 26 March 2026.

The dialogue focused on a critical transition: Vietnam’s evolution into a high-value logistics hub. Dr. Yap shared how the Vietnam SuperPort®, a joint venture with T&T Group, serves as a live model for this vision - integrating AI and digital infrastructure to ensure regional trade is both resilient and sustainable.

General Secretary Tô Lâm emphasized that Vietnam's future growth rests on five strategic pillars, including modern infrastructure, digital transformation, and environmental sustainability. Vietnam SuperPort® is a direct contribution to that roadmap, turning regional connectivity into a long-term competitive advantage for the country.

In logistics, Scope 2 emissions arise from the purchased electricity consumed by warehouses, facilities, and equipment. At YCH Group, we are addressing this by designing greener warehouses, using cleaner energy sources, and continuously monitoring energy consumption hotspots.

By tracking, analysing, and improving how energy is used, we aim to minimise our indirect emissions and move closer to our goal of Net-Zero emissions by 2050.
