The Russian Pavilion aimed to be the official information center on Russian Cinema for press and foreign cinema professionals. It officially represents Russia in the framework of the Cannes International Film Festival and the
Film Market. It is a universal platform that contributes to promotion of the Russian cinema as well as to the establishment of fruitful contacts and effective professional communication. The aim of the national pavilion is to promote the Russian film industry on the international market. The Russian pavilion helps international film producers, distributors and press to establish contacts with representatives of the Russian film industry (institutions, professional organizations, producers, distributor companies), to obtain official information about opportunities concerning coproduction with Russian film companies, participation in Russian festivals, distribution of Russian films abroad. Events: business meetings, presentations, press-conferences, round tables, discussion groups, workshops. Open terrace of the pavilion is mainly used as lounge zone where all the guests of the Russian pavilion can relax and socialize. Terrace is also used for interviewing, welcome drinks and other social events. Guests and participants: leaders of Russian and international film industry, producers, directors, representatives of professional institutions, distribution companies and investment groups; sales agents, representatives of Russian and international media.
