𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐝 Pakistani singer Quratul Ain Baloch was injured in a brown bear attack in Deosai National Park.
The attack occurred near Bara pani area, a popular tourist destination within the park known for its breathtaking scenery.
QB and her companions were in a camp when a brown bear suddenly attacked. Reports indicate the bear mauled her, causing severe injuries to just her arams.
𝐌𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐝 𝐈𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐉𝐡𝐨𝐧 her driver, shahbaz her photographer & other locals present at the scene bravely intervened to fend off the bear, saving her life. She was given initial first aid on the spot.
The driver swiftly transported her to DHQ hospital Skardu for emergency treatment.
After thorough examination she has been discharged and she is stable now.
𝐃𝐞𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐢 𝐍𝐏 is a protected habitat for the Himalayan brown bear. The incident prompted authorities to reiterate safety guidelines for visitors to Deosai and other wildlife areas,
· Avoiding travel on foot, especially at dawn, dusk, and night when bears are most active.
· Making noise while walking to avoid surprising wildlife.
· Properly storing and disposing of food to not attract bears.
· Camping only in designated, safe areas.
𝐃𝐞𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐢 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤 is one of the highest-altitude plateaus in the world and is a critical conservation area for the endangered Himalayan brown bear. While encounters are uncommon, this tragic event served as a stark reminder that visitors must be extremely cautious and respectful of the wild nature of these habitats.
