وزارتِ مذہبی امور و بین المذاہب ہم آہنگی، حکومتِ پاکستان کی جانب سے حج 2026 کی ابتدائی تیاریوں کا اعلان کیا جا چکا ہے۔ سعودی عرب کی ہدایات کے مطابق حج کے اہم انتظامات کے لیے فوری اقدامات کیے جا رہے ہیں۔

🔹 پہلا مرحلہ: حج 2026 میں شرکت کے خواہشمند افراد کی رجسٹریشن کا عمل مکمل کیا جائے گا۔
🔹 یہ رجسٹریشن سرکاری یا پرائیویٹ حج اسکیم میں شمولیت کے لیے لازمی ہوگی۔

The Islamic New Year 1447 Hijri begins, as Saudi Arabia and Gulf countries sight the Muharram moon

Religious authorities in Saudi Arabia and several Gulf nations confirmed the sighting of the crescent moon on Wednesday evening, officially marking the start of Muharram — the first month of the Islamic lunar calendar — on Thursday, June 26.

Ashura, the 10th of Muharram, will be observed on July 5 in Saudi Arabia. Special programs and events are planned across the UAE, Qatar, and other Arab countries to commemorate the new year.

In Pakistan, the moon is expected to be visible on June 26.

The Kiswa of the Holy Kaaba was ceremonially replaced to mark the start of the Islamic New Year 1447. This sacred black silk cloth, adorned with Quranic verses in gold-plated silver thread, symbolizes deep Islamic tradition.

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque oversaw the change, with 154 skilled Saudi craftsmen executing the process.

The new Kiswa consists of 47 silk panels, featuring 68 verses, and weighs around 1,415 kg. The annual event began by removing the gilded curtain from the Kaaba’s door, continuing a centuries-old tradition.

Pakistan’s First Post-Hajj Flight to Land in Karachi on June 11

The first post-Hajj flight, Air Blue PA-1766, carrying 148 Pakistani pilgrims from Jeddah, will land at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport on June 11, 2025, at 1:35 PM.

Over 115,000 pilgrims traveled to Saudi Arabia during Pakistan’s 33-day pre-Hajj operation via government and private schemes.

The return operation involves multiple airlines, including PIA, Saudi Airlines, SereneAir, Airblue, and AirSial.

Provincial Minister Riaz Hussain Shah Shirazi will welcome the pilgrims.

This marks the beginning of the return phase of Pakistan's annual Hajj mission.
