Aklan didn’t just welcome me… it introduced me to a version of myself I almost forgot existed.
Scene 1: Touchdown. The moment the plane door opened, the wind carried a story I knew I wanted to be part of.
Scene 2: Boat ride to Boracay. Waves crashing like the island was clapping for my arrival, reminding me that every journey begins with a little uncertainty and a whole lot of courage.
Scene 3: First step on the sand — that slow-motion moment when everything else fades except the warmth beneath your feet. Suddenly, life feels lighter.
Scene 4: Sunset. The sky burning gold as if trying to tell me, ‘This is the chapter you’ve been waiting to write.’
Scene 5: Night lights, quiet breeze, people laughing somewhere in the distance. And me — standing still, realizing that sometimes healing looks exactly like an island at peace.
