Not all restaurants vlogged by EaTravels are actually masarap. But I don’t really mind, lahat naman ng tao may sariling ginagawa, and I believe blogging is their hobby. Same with me: hobbyist lang, I love food and I cook, pero I’m not a certified chef. And you know kung ano yung talagang masarap? Yung pagkain sa Bangaw Keeng. I went there with no high expectations, pero dang, I was surprised, it was really good.

I ordered Chicken Satay, Classic Smashed Burger, and Picon Burger. Yung Chicken Satay nila hindi nakaka-umay, aromatic, siguro dahil sa turmeric or lemongrass. For me, mas masarap pa siya kaysa sa natry ko sa Bacolod. And their burgers? Winner!

Happy Endings is honestly the best ice cream ever. Kopyang-kopya talaga yung lasa ng totoong flavor, parang ginawa lang siyang ice cream form.

Lalo na yung Bayi-bayi: the texture, the taste, lahat nandoon. Para kang kumakain ng original, pero in a cool, creamy version. Ganun din yung Pistachio, parang totoong pistachio lang na ginawa into ice cream.

Oo, mahal siya for an ice cream, pero sulit. You literally get what you paid for, authentic flavor in every scoop.

Meron sila sa Molo Mansion, kaya perfect combo: heritage vibe plus great ice cream. Culture and comfort in one stop.

Meron din sa Donato Pison Avenue, Mandurriao. Kaso kung may sasakyan ka, medyo hassle kasi walang parking, kaya mahirap mag-stop by. Happy Endings Creamery and Food Lab

One of my Iloilo go-to’s: Spring Palace Jaro.

Legit Chinese food vibes all the way, lalo na yung roasted duck, super crispy, packed with flavor, at talagang may authentic Chinese taste. Walang bland dish sa lahat ng na-order ko; bawat isa, rich with the spices you’d expect (and demand) from real Chinese cooking.

The xiao long bao? Masarap, though medyo oily lang.

And yes, medyo on the pricey side, pero sulit naman kasi the serving matches the price.

Kung hanap mo ay Chinese food na hindi tipid sa lasa, this place delivers.

Seventy N Coffee + Drinkery: A Luxury Fine Dining Experience in Iloilo City

Seventy N Coffee + Drinkery offers a sophisticated and classy dining atmosphere that is undeniably impressive. The place is damn fine.

Their drinks, particularly the cocktails, truly showcase their expertise. The Amaretto Sour was a definite highlight—beautifully crafted and as enjoyable to taste as it is to look at.

While the drinks were excellent, the food I tried showed room for improvement. The Caesar Salad could have a bolder taste with stronger hints of garlic and anchovies, and the boiled egg felt a bit out of place. The Truffle Pasta, though hearty, had an overly saucy consistency that almost resembled a soup, and the truffle notes were quite subtle. Considering the premium pricing, it’s an opportunity for these dishes to provide more value.

Perhaps I’m wrong about the food not fully meeting expectations—maybe their steak is the star of the menu. While I didn’t get to try it this time, I’m excited to return and explore their steak and other drinks on my next visit.

I've been going to Mikels and Randy Talabahan's place in New Washington since around 2019. Two things keep me coming back: their fresh, briny talaba and their simple salted liempo - both very affordable even in 2025.

The oysters taste straight from the sea (staff will tell you honestly if they're not good that day), and the liempo has no sugary marinades - no ketchup, no soy sauce, just salt letting the pork flavor come through. Perfect with their coconut vinegar dip.

Good food at prices that feel too low for what you get.

When I take a break from my professional work, I enjoy cooking. One of my favorite dishes to prepare is this homy Filipino breakfast. It typically features egg, chorizo, and fried rice. However, to keep the meal balanced and prevent 'umay,' I often add okra, eggplant, and tomato. The eggplant, okra, and tomato are to be dipped in a spicy combination of coconut vinegar and soy sauce, adding an extra layer of flavor to the meal. All good!
