To those who keep complaining that they weren’t informed about Cebu Pacific’s hand carry policies, I’m sorry, but honestly, saying you didn’t know is no excuse. Why? The guidelines are on Cebu Pacific’s website and social media pages. Your hand carry bag must not exceed 56 cm × 36 cm × 23 cm. The weight limit is now 10 kg for 5J flights, and that’s for your hand carry bag and personal item combined. If you’re flying Cebgo (DG), the limit is still 7 kg.
I think as travelers, especially first-time flyers, it’s our responsibility to read the guidelines. We can’t expect to be spoon-fed everything when the information is available to us.
Diba when we go to another country, we read the dos and don’ts before going so at least we know what to expect? It’s the same when we fly. We need to read the airline’s guidelines before our trip so things go smoothly.
And please, don’t get mad at the airline if you’re charged extra because your bags weigh 11 kg combined and your hand carry luggage measures 38 cm × 57 cm × 24 cm. Both exceed the limits. The rules are there for us to read, so let’s check them and follow them.
