| Did you know that wines and liquor can be brought into the Philippines without the FDA clearance?

Wines and liquor may be imported without the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance, provided that:

a) They are for personal consumption.
b) The quantity does not exceed two (2) bottles, or a total of 1.5 liters.
c) Brought into the Philippines in any of the following means:
i. In passenger baggage, whether accompanied or unaccompanied;
ii. In balikbayan boxes; or
iii. In parcels sent through mail or delivery services.

If the quantity of imported items claimed for personal consumption exceeds the specified limit, the items will be seized and forfeited in favor of the government.

Remember, only authorized dealers and producers are permitted to import and export these goods.
