Hey transport lovers, we want your thoughts!

The community advocacy group Trains Taranaki, part of the The Future is Rail movement, officially presented a public petition to Parliament on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. The petition calls on the Government to reinstate regular passenger rail services connecting New Plymouth, Whanganui, Palmerston North, and Wellington.

The group are running a survey and plan to pass on the results to Parliament. Have your say!

Our own Finn Boyle (Sustainable Whanganui's brand new Activator) will be giving a talk at Whanganui Green Drinks this month!
He'll be asking whether the language of "sustainability" still holds up, or whether it's time to shift toward something more regenerative. Should be a great discussion — come along and bring your own thoughts too!

Trains Taranaki is presenting a petition to Parliament this Tuesday, 30 June, calling for regular passenger rail services connecting New Plymouth, Whanganui, Palmerston North, and Wellington. The petition will be formally presented to MPs at Parliament on Tuesday, 30 June at 12:45 PM, marking a major milestone in the campaign to bring passenger rail back to Taranaki. Head along if you can!

We are inviting all that can to the steps of Parliament on Tuesday 30th of June at 12.45pm where we will hand over our petition and shout from the steps of parliament "Bring Back Passenger Rail to Taranaki!"

Here's our wonderful stats for the first month of our new and improved bus service. Head to the market this Saturday and pick up a free Bee Card and a handy printed timetable. Don't forget to load the Transit app onto your smartphone – it really makes all the difference. And if you tap "GO" for your chosen route, it'll help others see where the bus is.
