If you're planning to take public transport to either of these events this weekend, plan ahead.

🚆🚌 Johnsonville trains will run as usual.

Kapiti line trains will run as normal on Saturday. On Sunday they will be bus replaced in the evening between Wellington and Porirua.

Every time you tag on and off, it helps Metlink understand how people use the network, so we can plan and review services to keep improving.

When travelling on a concession, remember to carry your ID and show it when asked. Together we can keep the network moving, one fare at a time 🪪

🚆Rail Union Meeting - Buses Replacing Trains

On Wednesday 19 August, rail staff who are members of the RMTU union will attend their annual union meeting. As a result, buses will replace trains at various times across the rail network starting from around 8.30am. Normal train services will resume on all lines from around 1.00pm.

This is an important meeting for union members, and we support their attendance.

Passengers are encouraged to check their timetable before travelling. To view bus replacement timetables or find your nearest bus replacement stop, use the Metlink app or website.
