Just launched, Shaw design 1050 built by Fusion Marine Boat Builders. Thanks to Scott Fyfe for the vision of pushing the boundaries with this water ballasted winged skiff like keel boat.

We are enjoying the steep learning curve of this yacht and plenty of races to get into over the summer months.

Great day on the water with Boating New Zealand capturing the new FMB Raptor 11m Rib

A few images of the Raptor 11m high speed Rib on it’s launching test debut.

This new custom FMB Rib has been designed with speed, stability and manoeuvrability in mind while supporting high speed Americas Cup race yachts.

The double stepped hull brings the support Rib into the modern era of high speed boats.

With a smooth riding hull it brings comfort to all those onboard.

This is now in production with female tooling in place.

Fusion Marine Boatbuilders (FMB) have been working hard constructing the new Raptor 11m high speed Rib.

Working with designer Brett Bakewell-White, with the design brief for the Rib to fit a 40ft flat rack container, this boat also has a hinged roof for ease of shipping.

The construction of the new Rob Shaw designed 10.5m carbon fibre Race Yacht is under construction. You can see in the video the plug construction taking place for the hull. We will be keeping you updated with the build process going forward.
