Kia ora we are the Haukainga of the Whirinaki Te Pua A Tane Forest.....born and bred here Te Whaiti and Minginui, our Whirinaki Forest guides are all locals, from Te Whaiti and Minginui....our knowledge comes from our parents, our grandparents, our uncles and auntie's our cuzzies, our siblings who all live here, we went to school here, worked in the Minginui Forestry and the Minginui Mills back in the days ...always at our 2 Marae Waikotikoti and Murumurunga....

We offer guided walks to groups with hangi for lunch...that's who we are, we are the people of the area, we tell you our purakau, our original stories with meaning.....
