We're looking forward to seeing you on August 4th at the Clean Energy Centre (opposite the Z Energy Station on the Napier-Taupō rd) to hear all about regenerative tourism here in Taupo.

The UN Climate Change Conference, COP26, will be held in the UK next month, so we’ve teamed up with the British High Commission Wellington to help Kiwi

Feeling so inspired after a great presentation from thinkstep ANZ CEO Barbara Nebel on the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Her advice was:
1. Think about where your business can have an impact (top tip - it may not be carbon reduction!)
2. Consider what you community / stakeholders care about
3. Look at what will make your business stronger (including more profitable!)
4. After doing steps 1 - 3, pick 5 SDG goals that resonate for your business, and focus your sustainability efforts on these.

The New Zealand Infrastructure Commission is developing an Infrastructure Strategy for New Zealand. In May, InfraComm released a consultation document, Infrastructure for a Better Future, which sets out the proposed direction for that strategy.

It covers topics such as
-Institutional and governance reform
-Getting the price right
-Supporting a zero-carbon economy and preparing for climate change
- Supporting housing supply
- a digital future

The consultation document outlines the Commission's proposed vision for infrastructure 2050 and three areas which the Commission has identified where change is needed, based on previous consultation feedback.

The consultation document contains 36 questions, which the commission is seeking comment on.
