Lilburn Transport are seeking a class 5 driver to join the team!

Drop side/ Tipper experience preferred but not necessary.

This position would ideally be based in Taupo but also the possibility of basing truck elsewhere on one of our regular routes.

Good morning everyone. The service for Arnold will be held at Raketepauma Marae on Tuesday 13.10.2020 at 11am, followed by burial at the Whanau Urupa.

Just a few notes about getting there.

If travelling from Waiouru please drive up to rest area on the left and turn around there to avoid traffic back log.

I would just like to thank everyone that made Arnies journey today from his home out to Rakatepouma marae an amazing one. A big shout out to Lindsay Taylor for organising the trucks. Kim Youngs, Kerry Windle, Cam Spooner, Milton Nahu, Stu Purvis, Wayne and Dale Hemara, Shane Perkins and Kapi, Rabbit, Pete Frew, Adam Swanson, Matty Baxter, RFH, STL, Kui and Griffins, Adrian Takiwa, Lindsay Taylor Transport, Brian Sefton, Paul Tamati, Richard Carmichael.What an awesome show of love for our mate on his final journey on the road. Thanks also Dempsey Buses - Darren Dempsey for loaning the van to transport our drivers. Thank you also to everyone that contributed to live feeds for our families who cant be here. My apologies if i have missed anyone but our heartfelt thanks goes out to you all.

Morning all so sorry for the delay once again.
Here is the plan for today

0930 Arnie is loaded onto truck bound for rakatepouma marae

1000 start his final drive/ride to his resting place
The route is Goldfinch ,Tay, Moore,Burns, Clyde Streets, Ruapehu Rd into Lindsay Taylors yard,and thats everyone...from there we will on the way
At Irirangi the convoy will stop drop all trucks drivers will board a bus and then head to the marae.

1100 offical welcome onto the marae.

Good evening all...im about to give everyone an update on where we are with our mate bro work colleague and family member....Arnie or Arnold.
We are currently in Hamilton waiting for him at the funeral home before we start our journey home.
We are coming back thru stag park Arnies second home,then back to our yard for his final ride around in raetihi.
From there we take him back to his home in Foyle Street Ohakune for the night.
At 10 am tomorrow we will take our mate on one of our units to his final resting place at Rakatepouma. Our trucking brothers are going to give him the highest honour we can offer him...a convoy es**rt ....thanks to Lindsay Taylor for organising this bro...we will take him as far as we can up the driveway to the marae and then ask all ourdrivers to carry him onto the marae where he will lie till the commencement of his tangi on Tuesday at 11 am.
I will update once we leave and throughout our journey home.
