Still riding the high from last weekend. 🥂✨

After sharing our official “we won!” moment, we couldn’t resist posting a few more photos from what was truly an unforgettable night at the National Travel Industry Awards 2026.

To be named The Travel Broker Business of the Year was incredibly special — but what made it even more meaningful was having so many of our team there together to celebrate, cheer, laugh, sparkle, and soak up every second.

The room was full of 650 travel professionals, industry friends, suppliers, partners and colleagues — all coming together to celebrate the people who work so hard behind the scenes to keep travel moving.

We are still feeling proud, humbled, grateful, and very lucky to be part of such a brilliant industry.

From later this year, you’ll be able to fly non-stop to:

We’ve clocked in, seen the show… and can confirm: Showbiz Queenstown’s 9 to 5 The Musical is an absolute triumph! 💛

What a fabulous night of talent, energy, laughs, music, sparkle and pure local theatre magic. The cast were sensational, the crew clearly worked their magic behind the scenes, and the whole production had us smiling from start to finish.

Today we celebrate 100 years of Sir David Attenborough- a man who has spent a lifetime helping us see the world through more curious, compassionate and connected eyes.

Through his storytelling, he has taken us into rainforests, oceans, deserts, ice fields and wild places most of us may never have reached on our own. He has reminded us that the planet is not simply something to visit, but something to understand, respect and protect.

At X travel, we believe travel should do the same.

The best journeys don’t just show us new places. They change the way we see them. They deepen our appreciation for wildlife, culture, landscapes and the delicate ecosystems that make our world so extraordinary.

We’re supporting the Buffalo Bike Ride by doing the mahi to keep the pedals turning all day on a static bike in the xtravel Queenstown office on Thu 7 May, 10am-4pm.

Together with Intrepid Travel and our wider Tahuna Queenstown whānau, we’ll have teams rotating through time slots to keep the ride going from start to finish.

We’d love for you to jump on the bike for a ride (you can even choose your scenery on our big screen!) and make a small donation here.

Anyone who rides or donates will go in the draw to win a one-night stay for up to two guests at Castaways Resort Auckland, with the winner announced on Friday 8 May. If you can’t make it in person, you’re very welcome to support by donating.

Until 8pm tonight, every donation made to the Wakatipu High School Foundation Giving Day will be matched dollar for dollar, meaning every gift will have twice the impact.
At xtravel, this cause is especially close to our hearts. We are proud to be a Platinum Partner of the Foundation, and proud to support an initiative that helps create greater opportunity for the young people of our region.
