My name is Kamal Aryal, and I have worked in the tourism industry for over two decades and have closely observed the many changes it has undergone during the period. To this day, Nepal’s tourism industry, which is the second largest employer in the country, continues to rely heavily on international tourists. But for the industry to be resilient and weather external shocks, it is crucial that the
industry has a robust domestic market to rely on. And in the last few years, I have seen an encouraging and hopeful trend emerge in Nepal’s tourism industry--the increasing number of Nepalis exploring and travelling within the country. Hoping to help make it easier for the growing number of Nepal’s domestic tourists to travel within the country and help make our tourism industry more robust and resilient, I started working on creating a travel app that allows Nepalis to book hotels, flights, travel packages, activities, events, and rent vehicles. After years of research and travelling across the country to gather data, I came up with ‘Holiday Pasal’, which is available for download on Play Store and App Store. Hundreds of thousands of fellow Nepalis depend on the tourism industry to make a living, but in the last 10 years, the industry has had to face one challenge in the form of earthquakes, blockade, and now this pandemic. The industry is in need of a robust domestic tourism market more than ever, and ‘Holiday Pasal’ is a small initiative to steer the industry into that direction. This is where we would like to urge you to help us with this initiative of promoting domestic tourism ‘Pahila Desh ani Bidesh’ by downloading this app and spreading the news about this app. I genuinely believe that a personality of your standing and commitment to promoting Nepal and Nepali products will help people resonate with our product and the philosophy behind it and get many to use it when they travel. Your support matters a lot to us, and we sincerely hope to get a positive response from you.. Namaste. HolidayPasal
