Lukla Airport, officially known as Tenzing-Hillary Airport, is perched at an elevation of 2,845 meters (9,334 feet) in Nepal's Himalayas and serves as the primary gateway for trekkers heading to Mount Everest. Renowned as one of the world's most dangerous airports, it features a mere 527-meter (1,729-foot) runway with a steep 12% gradient, flanked by a cliff on one end and a mountain wall on the other, demanding exceptional pilot skill for takeoffs and landings. Constructed in 1964 under the guidance of Sir Edmund Hillary, the airport was renamed in 2008 to honor both Hillary and Tenzing Norgay, the first climbers to summit Everest.

Feeding a hungry mountain bird at Nangkartshang Peak, elevation over 5,075m, while Ama Dablam 6,812m (Mother's Necklace) looks magnificent in the backdrop! We hiked all the way up to this point for about 2.5 hrs from Dingboche 4,410m. The best view comes after the toughest climb! Fully agreed!

So many other hungry birds are waiting for us!!! Don't wanna feed them!

Day 8, April 28, 2025: Lobuche – Gorak Shep – EBC – Gorak Shep | Big Day, Big Achievement | Summits Adventurers conquered a dream summit!

The trek was incredibly tough with snow and wind, covering a long distance in a single day. Yet, despite the exhaustion, our adventurers were all smiles, radiating pride and joy after reaching one of the highest trekking goals—Everest Base Camp. A dream achieved, a summit conquered! 💪🥾🏔️🇳🇵🤝🇫🇷🇲🇽🥳🎉🏕️🌱🚶🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️
