✈️ EU air passenger rights reform: after 13 years, the deal is on the table waiting for the final approvals by the European Parliament and the Council.
❗ In the EP it is scheduled for July 6 - the next plenary.

🔍 Key points of the deal:
✅ ⏱️ Compensation threshold stays at 3 hours and the compensation amounts largely remain unchanged:
• €250 for flights of 1,500 km or less ✈️
• €400 for intra-EU flights and flights between 1,500 km and 3,500 km 🌍
• €600 for other flights 🌐

✅ 📩 Claims handling becomes more structured:
If a delay may give rise to compensation, airlines will have to inform passengers electronically within 96 hours after arrival. Claims must be acknowledged immediately, and airlines must reply within 30 days by either paying compensation or explaining why the claim is rejected.
