One of the best broiler farming guide for beginners

Doing guessing in poultry farming is like someone playing gambling with his last money.

Poultry farming is like a university you will learn alot before you become perfect
Here is my guide that will help new farmers to avoid some costly mistakes that may end up closing the business

As a poultry farmer I always tell young farmers 3 most important things you must not joke with in broiler Farmering is
(1) Clean water: Clean water is a natural growth booster. Without clean water all the medications you are given to your birds will not perform well, giving your birds steady water will result to fastest growth but it will give you much labour to always clean your Poultry house because the birds will be pooing all the time.

(2) Quality feed: Every feed is not the same, at list from the beginning start with good quality feed this will help the birds get rapid growth with good health condition

(3) Multi vitamin: Any farmer that plays with multi vitamin is playing gambling his money. Good Muti vitamin will make your birds has strong immune system to fight against infections, when your birds are sick you need good vitamin also to help them recover quick. Multi vitamin has alot of good benefits I can not mention here

Let me stop here for today........

If you have 5m to 10m in your account right now and you are thinking of poultry farming. Pls don't rush and start raising layers ooo instead think smartly.

If you have this capital, of course it's enough to start poultry and to keep numbers of layers but not economically wise as a smart business Farmer.

What you should do instead is to think about how to raise more capital, think of short term investment instead of long term investment

One of the smartest ways to invest it wisely is to start supplying eggs. You will first do your business survey, starting from your estate, your locations. It could be in front of your estate, or even GD around your local area.

You have a shop, go to any good poultry farmer ready to collaborate with you. A poultry farmer that's ready to supplying you at the discountable price and imitate business.

Start selling from 50 crates, start selling within your estate, around your location. There's no way you won't be able to sell that 50 crates in three days

Begin to add up, gradually you are creating massive marketing awareness. People are getting to know you, your repeated customers are also directing more customers to you.

One, you have successfully created huge marketing for your poultry farm apart from the fact that you didn't gamble the capital by jumping into poultry farming

Two, you have structured the market and can confidently go into poultry farming with deep leasing.

Three, that 50 naira you make from each crates is far better than gambling your small capital.

Now, you have gotten a long time experience and you can confidently start your poultry farming which is your dream of business. No more trial and error, you age in doing it perfectly with smooth marketing rude.

This is how to start and build, this is how you start building wealth in agriculture. Don't jump into it because you have the finances and read that it's lucrative.

Agriculture is profitable but can mess you up when you get it wrong.....

NUMBER OF BAGS TO FEED 100 LAYERS CHICKS FROM DAY OLD TO THE POINT OF LAYING.

ONLY 14 BAGS

1. One layer chick eats 2kg of mash feed feed from 0 to 8 weeks multiply by 100 layer chicks divided by 50 to convert to number of bags= 4 bags

2. One layer eats 5kg of mash grower from 9 to 18 weeks that is to the point of lay multiply by 100 divided by 50 to get the number of bags = 10 bags.

FROM POINT OF LAY TO SELLING THEM AS EX LAYERS

3. ONE LAYER chicken at this this stage it is not called a chick,it must consume 40kg of layer mash feed multiply by 100 birds divided by 50kg to get your number of bags.you will get 80 bags which will be fed from 19weeks upto the time you will sell them as ex layers.

80 bags looks alot but it's not because your chickens at this point are buying feed for themselves.
