OYETOLA AT 72: OYEWO SALUTES FORMER GOVERNOR'S UNMATCHED STATESMANSHIP

The immediate past lawmaker representing Osogbo Federal Constituency, Hon. Olubukola Oyewo, has celebrated the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, His Excellency, Adegboyega Oyetola, on his 72nd birthday anniversary.
In his birthday tribute, Oyewo described Oyetola as an epitome of loyalty, decency and purposeful leadership, a leader whose modesty conceals great depth.
"Alhaji Oyetola is a lesson in leadership. He teaches us that power can be exercised with calmness, that influence can be deployed without arrogance, and that governance can be anchored on sincerity. He is a complete gentleman whose public life has been defined by honour and self-restraint," Oyewo said.
The former federal lawmaker noted that Oyetola's 72 years have been years of impactful contributions to Osun and Nigeria, adding that his era as Governor of Osun State set a gold standard in people-focused governance.
"History will be kind to Oyetola. He governed Osun at a most difficult time with uncommon ingenuity. He did not borrow to pay salaries, he did not abandon projects, he did not engage in frivolities. He simply worked, quietly and diligently, and Osun became better for it," he added.
Oyewo also lauded Oyetola's stewardship at the Marine and Blue Economy Ministry, describing it as a testament to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's wisdom in assigning the right man to a strategic national assignment.
He prayed for God's continued protection, robust health and divine wisdom for the Minister, as he continues to offer his wealth of experience for national development.
"On behalf of my family and political associates in Osogbo Federal Constituency, I wish our leader a happy 72nd birthday. May his latter years be more glorious," Oyewo concluded.
